What is the FSR PAF?

The Student Council of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy is a group of dedicated students who volunteer their time to support their fellow students. Once a year, fifteen members are elected by the students of our faculty, and they are further supported by volunteer members of the eFSR. We represent all students in the Physics programs (Bachelor’s / Master’s / Teacher Education) as well as the Master’s programs in Materials Science, Photonics, and Quantum Science & Technology.

What does the FSR PAF do?

Whenever you have questions, concerns, or issues regarding your studies at PAF, feel free to reach out to us. You can send us an email or simply stop by our office at Max-Wien-Platz 1. In general, we represent the interests of our students in dealings with the university. Using the student council component of your semester fee, we also organize a wide range of events such as orientation days, the faculty meetup, and social evenings. In addition, we network with student councils from other universities at national student council conferences.
