Physikalisches Kolloquium mit Grillen / Physics colloquium with barbecue

Heute geht es mal wieder um eine spezielle Veranstaltung, die wir bereits kennen: Das Physikalische Kolloquium. Dieses Mal haben wir einen ganz besonderen Gast an Bord, mit dem quasi schon jeder von euch zu tun hatte. Es geht um den Vater der mp3, Professor Brandenburg von der TU Ilmenau/Brandenburg Labs. Er ist eine Koryphäe auf dem Gebiet der akustischen Signalverarbeitung und mehrfach ausgezeichnet. Er hat unter anderem die mp3-Technik entwickelt und wird uns in seinem Vortrag mit der anschließenden Diskussionsrunde auch davon berichten. Neben seinem Vortrag am 12.06. um 16:15 im HS1 des Abbeanum könnt ihr ihn auch noch beim anschließenden Grillen auf der Freifläche treffen. Wir freuen uns auf euch!
P.S.: Der Vortrag wird, wie bei den Physikallischen Kolloquien üblich, auf Englisch sein, sodass möglichst viele ihn verstehen können 🙂

Today we are once again talking about a special event that we already know: The Physics Colloquium (Physikalisches Kolloquium). This time we have a very special guest on board with whom almost all of you have had something to do. It’s about the father of mp3, Professor Brandenburg from TU Ilmenau/Brandenburg Labs. He is a luminary in the field of acoustic signal processing and has received several awards. Among other things, he developed the mp3 technology and will also tell us about it in his lecture followed by a discussion. In addition to his lecture on 12.06. at 16:15 in HS1 of the Abbeanum, you can also meet him at the barbecue afterwards on the open-air area (Freifläche inbetween yellow and red house).
